Clergy Privilege Under Attack

When it was proposed that a Washington State law that violates clergy-penitent privilege be extended to the attorney-client privilege, doctor-patient privilege, or the reporter’s privilege, the Washington legislature declined to do so. Its target remains exclusively the clergy.
